United Plankton Pictures is an American television and film production company founded in 1998 by animator and marine biology teacher Stephen Hillenburg. Its headquarters is located in Burbank, California. Its most notable productions include the long-running animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants and several co-productions with DreamWorks Television.
