Lancy, Rascal and Battly are a trio of supporting characters that appeared in 18 animated films produced by DreamWorks Pictures. Created by DreamWorks veteran animator Shaun Cove (1923-2014) in 1966, they serve as recurring characters in many of the studio's films, appearing as henchmen for the main antagonists (except in Trolls, which it turns out that they were working for the secondary antagonist).
They made their first appearance in the 1970 film Swan People. Afterwards, they appeared in more films such as TBD. As time progressed, they begun to have many popularity which they eventually became into one of DreamWorks' most popular animated characters, spun-off into their own media franchise with comics, video games, merchandising, theme park attractions, feature films and television programs.

Trivia[]
- Lancy is inspired by Azrael from Peyo's The Smurfs, while Rascal is inspired by Muttley from Hanna-Barbera's Wacky Races and Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines, and Battly is rumored to be inspired by Mr. Smee from Walt Disney's Peter Pan, and would be a later inspiration to both Batty from 20th Century Fox's FernGully: The Last Rainforest and Bartok from Don Bluth's Anastasia.
- The trio would've been a later inspiration to both the Hyenas from Disney's 1994 classic The Lion King and Tin, Pan and Alley, the Siamese cat trio from the Tom and Jerry direct-to-video film series.
- Not counting their cameos, they are usually villains in every film they appear in, except in both Martha and Lancy, Rascal and Battly: The Three Animals, where they are heroes.
