Captain America is a 7-22 minute theatrical animated superhero short series produced by Dora Wilson Productions. It was based on the Marvel comic book series of the same name. It was meant to compete the success of the Superman cartoons which are produced by Fleischer Studios and Famous Studios for Paramount Pictures of that era, it was a modest success, with 20 shorts from 1942 to 1945.

The Captain America shorts then sold to the series' owner Marvel Comics in the late 70s. Then in 2009, The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment and all of its properties, which includes DreamWorks' collection of Captain America cartoons.

In 2023, all of 20 Captain America cartoons are available streaming on Disney+.
