20th Century Studios, formerly known as 20th Century Fox, is a major movie and television studio in Hollywood, founded in 1935 by William Fox and TBD. The studio is known for producing and distributing films and television programs including TBD.
From 2012 to 2017, DreamWorks Pictures made a new home media and international distribution deal with 20th, after broke out from Paramount in 2012, for distributing recent family-oriented film titles and other releases of most of pre-1997 DreamWorks productions internationally and on home media.
In 2019, The Walt Disney Company acquired it then-owner 21st Century Fox, and its assets such as National Geographic, FX, Searchlights Pictures, etc., but the television channel Fox was spun-off into TBD
From 2002 to 2020, 20th Century Studios included the Dreamtoons character Scrat into its CGI Ice Age film series from the first film until Ice Age: Collision Course (2016), when 20th Century Studios' contract to use Scrat ended in 2020. Because of this Scrat was absent in the 2022 film The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, making it the first Ice Age film without the character.
